Jitters

By Jon Donnis

Get ready for a horror experience that pushes you to your limits, as Jitters invites viewers into a dark and twisted game of fear. Premiering this March from Reel2Reel Films, the film promises to confront every phobia, every nightmare, and every chilling thought you’ve ever had.

Written by George Willcox and directed and produced by Marc Zammit. James Fuller and Richard Oakes co-produce alongside lead actor Fabrizio Santino, known for Captain America: The First Avenger and Hollyoaks, who plays Detective Collymore, a world-weary investigator haunted by his past. Anto Sharp returns from Witch as Detective Harding, with Daniel Jordan of Palindrome as the titular Jitters. The cast also features Boo Miller, Jess Impiazzi, Lauren Budd, Richard Wisker, Ritchi Edwards, and Chloe Hews, bringing a mix of talent from Bridgerton, Celebrity Big Brother, Cinderella’s Curse, Flatmates, Werwulf, and Jinx.

Detective Collymore thought he had seen it all, balancing work with raising his child, until a seemingly routine case shakes him to his core. The sudden, unexplained death of a young woman, ruled as “natural causes”, quickly spirals into a web of mystery and terror. His investigation leads him not only through the darkest corners of the internet but also deep into his own psyche, uncovering a disturbing video game known only as Jitters. Far from innocent, this underground simulation forces players to confront their deepest fears, weaponising them in ways no one could anticipate.

As Collymore delves further into the deadly online world, he discovers that survival depends on more than skill or courage. To save himself and his family, he must confront the horrors within the game and the darkness lurking inside himself. Jitters promises a relentless, pulse-pounding ride that blends psychological terror with high-stakes thriller, a chilling journey that guarantees no one escapes unscathed.

Jitters arrives on UK digital platforms on 16 March 2026 and in the US on 17 March 2026 from Reel2Reel Films.

Filming has wrapped on The Nice Ones, a new psychological horror-thriller from writer and director Peter Stylianou. After gaining attention with his 2024 vampire feature Drained, Stylianou returns with a story that blends intimate paranoia with unsettling cosmic dread.

The film stars Joelle Rae (The Witcher) and Emrhys Cooper (Nosferatu) as Kate and Dale, a couple whose countryside trip with friends unravels in terrifying fashion. What begins as a carefree reunion at a chic Airbnb soon turns sinister after Kate spots strange lights in the sky. As paranoia takes hold, tensions within the group fracture, and an unseen force begins to infiltrate their retreat. Kate must face both her past and a threat that feels disturbingly otherworldly.

The ensemble cast brings together a mix of established and rising talent, including Donna Preston (The Sandman), Ian Whyte (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Daniela Norman (Tiny Pretty Things), Ayvianna Snow (How to Kill Monsters), James Akka (The Sandman), Nick Lavelle (Red XII), Tom Kelsey (National Theatre Live: Dr. Strangelove), and Andrew Lyle-Pinnock (The Little Mermaid).

Stylianou describes the project as an exploration of identity and trust, playing with the fear that those closest to us may not be who they appear to be. Produced by RG Films, Level 33 Entertainment, and Snow Pictures, the feature also marks Ayvianna Snow’s first step into producing, after building a career with more than seventy screen roles. Level 33 will oversee worldwide distribution.

The Nice Ones promises a sharp mix of character-driven tension and eerie, supernatural unease, setting up Stylianou as a filmmaker to watch in the independent horror space.

Stephen King’s The Long Walk

Lionsgate UK has confirmed that The Long Walk, directed by Francis Lawrence, will arrive in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 12 September 2025. To accompany the announcement, a new trailer and official poster have been released, offering a first look at the upcoming adaptation.

Based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name, the film is scripted by JT Mollner and presented by Lionsgate in association with Media Capital Technologies. It is produced by Vertigo Entertainment and about:blank.

Francis Lawrence, known for directing several entries in The Hunger Games series, leads the project. The production team includes Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Francis Lawrence and Cameron MacConomy.

The cast features Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Ben Wang, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Roman Griffin Davis, Jordan Gonzalez, Joshua Odjick and Josh Hamilton, with supporting roles from Judy Greer and Mark Hamill.
